All of the girls working on “Team DDR” in the Danielle Rollins Shop and Design Studio are new to living in South Florida—- and South Florida can take some adjusting to living and working in.

 

Nothing says welcome to Florida like hurricanes, alligators, termite swarms, mosquitos the size of Texas, poison frogs, and Disney princesses! In Palm Beach, we have a resort all year round lifestyle where a caftan and sandals can carry you day to night. And there’s really only a few seasons— lovely, hot, hotter and every once in awhile a puffy coat warning followed by beware of iguana freeze alerts! Did you know that when it dips under 50 degrees warm blooded iguanas temporarily freeze and fall from the trees? Still, we have major style influences to thank for the “Palm Beach look” like Lilly Pulitzer.

 

We took a Monday field trip to J. McLaughlin, one of Danielle’s favorites for a taste of old school Palm Beach aesthetic that we all know and love— think pink and green, exciting tropical patterns, rattan and wicker!

 

We have had so much fun working with J. McLaughlin’s style specialist, Jack Lynch who helped our team transform into true Palm Beachers and want to share some of our favorite looks and fashion finds with you!

Devin is our amazing design assistant. She moved from Houston, Texas to work with Danielle on her various projects across the country.

“So, I have a funny story to share with y’all. I was actually born in the Sunshine State of Florida, but I moved to Houston, Texas at a very young age. It was there that I was able to develop my love for design, art, and fashion (among other things, including a love for some Texas BBQ)! I’ve always considered myself a Texan, but thanks to Danielle, I’ve been brought back to my roots! I moved to West Palm Beach in 2022 to work as Danielle’s Design Assistant at Danielle Rollins Brands. Each day I work vigorously with Danielle on multiple design accounts! Historically, my fashion has been described as edgy, sophisticated, and mature. Having moved to Palm Beach, I think it’s time to introduce more color and pattern into my wardrobe, much like I do for each home Danielle Rollins Brands outfits!"

“For most of my life, I’ve lived in North Florida. I was born in Jacksonville, FL. It was only recently, in 2022, that I moved to West Palm Beach to work with Danielle Rollins Brands as the Project Coordinator. I have the special responsibility of managing inventory, handling all of our customer service, and communicating with vendors! My style is generally more sporty and simple, as I like to have flexibility!"

“Although I was born in Baltimore, MD, I was raised in New Canaan, CT my entire life! I attended Fordham University and moved to Manhattan during COVID (Please don’t ask why I thought that was a good idea!). After working in the city for a few years, I made the wise decision to move to South Florida. I’ve always been a beach girl at heart and wanted to experience that sophisticated, colorful, bold, and bright lifestyle that only Palm Beach can offer. I’ve been working hard to adjust my classical New England wardrobe into brighter choices to reflect the Palm Beach aesthetic. Thanks to our amazing inspiration, Danielle Rollins, and to Jack Lynch at J. McLaughlin, I’ve managed to incorporate a mix of organic textures, fun patterns, and pops of color into my everyday look!"
