September 26 -29, 2013
The Lauritzen Gardens Antique & Garden Show is entering its tenth year of bringing renowned experts in antiques, gardening, and various fields of design and art to Omaha. The show's three days are filled with educational experiences and of course fabulous and affordable shopping opportunities. The weekend is packed with a wonderful lineup of events starting on Thursday with an evening Patron Preview Party, continuing with lectures and luncheons by Carolyne Roehm, Kathryn Ireland and Eddie Ross on Friday and Saturday and ending the weekend with a Sunday lecture and book signing by me! If you're in the neighborhood, please stop by to enjoy the festivities.
The show benefits Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha's Botanical Center. In the past eight years the show has hosted more than 40,000 people and to date has raised more than $3.8 million to benefit the garden and its educational programs.
Harrison Howard, a wonderfully talented and charming artist from California, was commissioned to help celebrate this special anniversary year at the garden. He has graciously provided several one-of-a-kind pieces of art for our show. 'Spring' is an exclusive for Lauritzen Gardens - a very special honor. Harrison's artwork has truly been an inspiration and represents the 2013 Lauritzen Gardens Antique & Garden Show perfectly… a whimsical, magical garden fantasy celebrating a decade of treasures at the garden!
The regional appeal of this event continues to grow. The show reaches a broad audience drawing from a six state area including Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota and Colorado.
The show offers a one-of-a-kind collector's experience not found elsewhere in the region. Showcasing more than 30 exhibitor booths representing both international and domestic dealers. The show will feature both beautiful and affordable examples of museum quality antiques ranging from porcelain, silver, jewelry, oriental rugs, paintings, and finely crafted furniture.
On Sunday, guests bring their heirlooms and antiques to the 'What's it Worth?' Appraisal Clinic for a professional evaluation from one of the nation's premier appraisers of antiques and fine art.
The garden will be offering several Harrison Howard originals in various forms. Click here to see the complete catalog of merchandise. And to purchase tickets to this wonderful event, please click here.
