This month’s question should be relatable for anyone who has ever had the pleasure (terror?) of hosting for the holidays. With Halloween behind us, it is time to begin planning for visits from family and friends…and the wonderful chaos that comes along with them! Dear Danielle, I have extended family on both sides coming for Thanksgiving, as well as friends with children, a work colleague and his boyfriend, and most of them don’t know each other! Help!
A separate table was set for the children, festive nonetheless.
Using vintage china mixed with a more modern set helped expand place settings to accommodate everyone. And vintage sets are often great for serving pieces, platters and tureens! Keep your eye out at tag sales, estate sales and auctions.
