This fragrant twist on the gimlet cocktail gets its clean green notes not from lime juice but from fresh basil. For extra glamour and aroma, tuck small sprigs of additional basil into each glass.  Before I share this tart classic, I want to share our next giveaway:

The Dot & Army seersucker napkins featured in my post about my daughter’s 14th birthday party were such a hit that I am thrilled to announce that I am now partnering with them again! We will be giving four lucky readers a set of four 10″ seersucker cocktail napkins!  The giveaway is open to US residents and will run today through Friday, August 16.   CLICK HERE to enter this contest and earn points. The more points you earn the more likely you are to win. Have a wonderful weekend and good luck!

P.S. If you don’t want to wait or want to go ahead and get the matching dinner napkins, head over to my retail tab –danielledrollins.com – and get them now!
