Next up in our series of signature holiday cocktails – the Flavor and Fortune! Skip the gingerbread men because this persimmon syrup is just as flavorful. Gin is always a classic crowd pleaser; your holiday guests will love this drink.
Flavor and Fortune
• 2 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
• 1 oz persimmon syrup
• 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
Shake all ingredients until combined and strain into a Collins glass. Top with soda and add ice to fill.
Garnish with an orange swath.
Persimmon Syrup
• 4 persimmons, peeled and cubed
• 1 thumb sized piece of ginger, peeled and cubed
• 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups water
Add ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain and allow to cool.
