I've always said that if you get the background right everything else falls into place. One company that ALWAYS gets it right and gives me endless inspo for design is CW Stockwell. Their fabrics are bold, colorful and beautiful. What else could you ask for?? I absolutely adore working with their fabrics and I used them exclusively in my "Palm Beach Numéro Deux" project, as you may have noticed if you follow my Instagram stories, so I could capture the rat pack era vibe.

With my latest project, Palm Beach Numéro Deux, I wanted to capture the glamour of a bygone era in a modern & playful way. The goal was to create a feeling of beauty and elegance but at the same time not be too serious. Creating a cohesive color flow is key especially in a small space. Each room needed to have its own definite look while also achieving an excellent color flow. The fabrics I chose from CW Stockwell had the perfect classic "old school" style resort feeling that I wanted to achieve.
A Little History...
CW Stockwell is a trusted brand that has been around since 1905 (Yes, you read that right!). It was started by a pharmacist, Clifton W. Stockwell, and later his daughter Lucille. Lucille was joined by her husband Remy Sr. and later their son Remy Jr. who both graduated from Parson's School of Design. The business began to grow quickly and spread to showrooms in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. Their most iconic pattern throughout the 20th century would be the "Martinique" pattern which is featured at the top of this page and used in my latest Palm Beach project. The craftsmanship and quality that goes into every fabric is absolutely unparalleled which is why I continue to use their fabrics over and over.
